Last years Savings Challenge winner, Krystal Hoganson, will be the first to tell you that participating in a year long financial challenge isn't easy. But the rewards have been worth it! When we met Krystal, she was a self-proclaimed "financial mess". But with the help of the Savings Challenge, and GECU's financial coaches, she was able to turn her financial situation around. By the end of the Savings Challenge, Krystal had almost eliminated her debt, created an emergency fund, was able to move into her own place, and was able to find several scholarships enabling her to pay for school completely. With that kind of focus it comes as no surprise that Krystal was GECU's Savings Challenge '09, ten thousand dollar winner.
